St Mary's Church

St Mary's Church

A picturesque 14th Century church linked to
our property by a footpath. Now cared for
by the Churches' Conservation Trust

St Mary's is a beautiful 14th Century church nestled in the valley of the River Biss. The church is no longer used for services, but is cared for by the Churches' Conservation Trust, and remains consecrated and available for weddings. The church can accommodate up to 120 people and is a remarkable building, with a most unusual spire. The church is linked to Dilton Vale farm by a footpath. Although the church dates back to the 14th century, the interior is mainly Georgian, with beautifully preserved box pews, overlooked by a dramatic pulpit and two galleries.
